For how long have you been in this business?
It is over five years now.
Why did you choose this line of business?
Before I started out on this business, I used to sell household items like glasses and plates, however, it was not good business. I later tried out selling chapattis, which I realised is more profitable than the latter.
How much did you start with?
I started with only Shs25,000. Back then, the price of chapatti inputs wasn’t so high as it is today. However, under the current circumstances, I need about Shs1 million since my business has now grown.
How do you find this business?
This business has really improved my life and I have developed a great passion for it. I have worked hard and I currently have three branches. Am preparing myself for the upcoming Ramathan) because this is the time I get most customers.
What are some of the challenges that you face?
The high price of inputs has become a big challenge to my business, yet customers are unwilling to buy the same product at an extra charge.
How profitable is this business?
I get profits of about Shs70,000 every. This excludes money used for operational costs.
