Futuristic car parts you must get used to

Thanks to competition, consumers are counting the benefits of an all-out car innovative industry.
Many years ago, many of the currently trending car features were just but a distant dream but thanks to competition they are all arrived albeit in different forms and shapes.
As is the case, these features had been amazing modifications but they are now part of us and it is high time motorists got used to them.
Many of these had been exclusive cars but today they are almost in every car including basic models.
Some of the features such as self-parking cars sounded so futuristic a few years ago but today it now one of the commonest feature on almost all new cars.
Today we shall focus on some of those car features that you may have perhaps thought of having in the future but are now within sight or you already have them.

Satellite navigation
About five years ago, motorists would locate places only by word of mouth or by looking out for a prominent physical feature. Not anymore, thanks to satnav full for satellite navigation or GPS.
The system works on a satellite system that is powered by Google, which maps roads and places across the world.
However, roads mapping has not been effectively conducted in Uganda which makes the satnavs car system a bit ineffective.
Reverse camera
Every car reverses but not with the aid of a camera. However, most of the newer cars are fixed with parking sensors that coordinate movement via the satnav screen or media screen.

Hill assist
If you have driven a manual transmission car before, then you know how it can be irritating on a hilly road, especially if you have to wait for oncoming traffic to join the road.
A car on a hilly road, even in automatic transmission engines, will slip backwards a bit; however, this has been mitigated with the arrival of technology - Hill Assist - that holds up the car without unnecessary motion.
This is an innovation worthy its name as it saves drivers the burden of balancing the car especially in traffic jam.

Engine start-stop or keyless-go
Almost every new car including basic models now have keyless feature. However, cars installed with the engine start-stop option are slightly more expensive than those with key ignitions.
The car starts and stops by pressing the start button and in some models such as Mercedes Benz, it is referred to as the Keyless-go.
According to information available, many car manufacturers including Volvo have plans or have already phased out key ignition engines.
In some cars the technology is incorporated with ones smartphone through which a coded system is used to open doors or can even to start the car.

Self-parking
When this feature was introduced on some cars a few years ago, it sounded so cool and out of this world but not anymore. Today it has become a feature that every car has including ordinary brands. The feature allows the car to search and identify a suitable parking slot, where it can be parked as the driver goes for their errands.

CD, MP3, USB, AUX
These are so common some people may even wonder why they are on this list. Perhaps it is the modern day use of computer-aided gadgets that USB and AUX ports have become a necessity.

Media touch screen
As already mentioned, this helps in so many ways. It works as a satnav or GPS aid in some cars while at the same time they work as a reverse camera screen.
It also works a TV or DVD screen while in some cars it is a touch facility that can be used to control different features.
Trip computer
Most modern trip computers record, calculate, and display the distance travelled, the average speed, the average fuel consumption, and real-time fuel consumption. In most cars today, the computer tells you the distance left for your next refill at a fuel station.

Tyre pressure monitoring system
A tyre-pressure monitoring system is an electronic system designed to monitor the air pressure inside the pneumatic tyres on various types of vehicles.
The system reports real-time tyre-pressure information to the driver via a gauge, a pictogramme display, or a simple low-pressure warning light.
The system seeks reduce traffic incidents, poor fuel economy and increased tyre wear.

Remote-controlled central door lock
According to some motorists, it is safe to lock your car a with central key locking system because car jackers have developed bypass measures. However, remote-controlled door locking systems have become a feature of choice for a number of car manufacturers.
