In Summary
Jacinta Bulyaba Ntale is the sales executive, People Performance Group and HR Consultancy located on plot 8 Kitante Close.
Apart from this car, have you owned any other car?
No, I have never had a car in my life apart from this.
Why did you go for a Polo cars?
It is a fast car, not so common in Uganda. That makes it hard for robbers to strip it in the wee hours of the morning while I am asleep, given the fact that the demand for its spare parts is not so high like it is for many Toyota cars that are on the market.
What do you like about this car?
It is very firm on the road, especially when I am driving fast.
For how long have you driven this car?
It is not actually long. This is the second year.
Has it given you any problems?
Like is expected with any mechanical object, I have experienced some problems, though not so serious. For example the electronics sometimes get messed up, especially the central locking system. It was made in a way that everything opens with one button so if it is not working, it is hard to open, say, the fuel tanker. That is the major problem that I faced.
How is its maintenance?
The Polo is not a cheap car to maintain since its spare parts are not readily available in our Toyota infested country. However, there are some mechanics that have specialised in maintenance of German cars. So I make great use of them, though they are too expensive.
How is the fuel consumption?
It is not supposed to consume highly since it is a 1400cc engine but because most times I drive in low gears due to the state of our roads and the traffic jam, it tends to consume higher than what is meant to.
Do you go to faraway places with this car?
Not always. Sometimes I opt for public transportation and if these places have terrible roads, I do not take it because it’s a low clearance car
Is it in good condition, how have you managed to keep it in good condition?
It is in a perfect condition. This is because I always go for service in time and whenever something is not functional, I try my best to fix it before it gets worse.
What is your dream car?
There are two types of cars that I yearn to have, a Jeep Rubicon for a 4x4 and an Audi R8 for a fast sports car. Adventure is worthwhile in itself
