Why does my Mark II make noise when I start it?

There are different reasons as to why a car will make noise when you start the engine. However, knowing where the noise comes from will ease the task of find out the cause of the problem. FILE PHOTO

Hi Paul, thank you for the guidance you always given to motorists. I have a mark II grande 2003 model that has recently started making noise when I start it and the noise disappears when I drive for seven to 10 minutes. What is the problem?
Henry.

Henry, you would need to describe the kind of engine noise you hear and where its coming from for me to identify the possible cause. If it’s rattling above the engine, it will be the valve train area usually caused by poor lubrication due to delayed oil pressure build up.

Should the noise be under the engine or body when you accelerate then you can consider checking the axles, wheel hubs or transmission and exhaust pipe for leakages. Although exhaust related noises are usually persistent unlike this case when the noise ceases after a few minutes.

How many litres of gasolin do i need for my Toyota Noah

Hello Paul, thank you for the tips you always give us drivers. I own a Toyota Noah Liteace Field tourer 1999 model with a 2.0 litre engine and would like to know how many litres of gasoline I need for a 194km destination and that is to and fro. Thanks!
Ronny Paul Kaweesa

Hello Ronny Paul, official fuel economy statistics of your 2.0 litre Toyota Field Tourer are 14 kilometres per litre on the highway. These statistics will drop down if you drive aggressively, fail to tune or service your engine, over load the vehicle or drive with worn out tyres.
