Tian Tang Group hailed for creating jobs

MUKONO- Mr Andrew Senyonga, the Mukono District chairman, has thanked foreign investors and business people for responding to President Yoweri Museveni’s call to invest in Uganda which has created employment for Ugandans.

He said at a recent end of year party for Tian Tang Group employees in Mukono that unemployment in Uganda would reduce if more investors are attracted to Uganda.

Mr Michael Wang, general manager, Tian Tang Group thanked the firm’s employees for improving the company’s performance in 2017.

 “Thanks for these good results. Let us perform even better this coming year to serve our clients more efficiently,” he said at the firm’s factory in Mukono. “Our group of companies will continue to invest here to better the livelihood of Ugandans.”

He said the firm plans to construct an Industrial Park in Mbale where about 30 firms would set up production lines and as a result, create about 12,000 jobs for Ugandans.

The firm, he said would investment about $600 million (Shs2.2 trillion) in the Mbale Industrial Park.

Dozens of employees received an assortment of gifts that included TV sets, mattresses and other household items through a raffle draw.

Ms Lucy Zhang, managing director of the company said they employ over 1,100 people.
