In Summary

The ICT facility is part of the information desk that the two parties have agreed to set up under the public-private partnership that the district and other stakeholders mooted in 2006.

Kasese District is set to get information and communication technology equipment worth Shs24 million from Rwenzori Information Centre Network.

Rwenzori Information Centre is supported by the Dutch Humanist Institute for Cooperation with Developing Countries and the European Union.

The equipment includes 12 computers and a multipurpose photocopier.

Internet services will be set up to facilitate information-sharing between the district, the civil society organisations and other stakeholders in and outside the district.
