Why is my passion fruit farm drying up?

In the dry season, some passion fruits dry up due to lack of enough water in the soil.
In this case we advise farmers to carry out effective watering of the plant. Some are damaged by pests such as termites which destroy roots and the stems, eventually the plant dries up.
There are some varieties which may not be resistant to drought, pests and diseases. This can also be one of the causes.
Diseases such as collar rot caused by a fungus known as Fusarium Solani, the affected passion fruit plant shows symptoms of dark spots on the upper part and rotten tissues at the base of stem. This eventually leads to withering, a situation termed as wilting and to subsequent drying and death of the infected plant.
