To play the part the guy has decided for her. Many guys detest having to be the puppets in this tragicomedy; after all, this is a day that makes more sense to women today than it does for men. If the guy decides he’s buying 12 roses instead of the 24 that some random boyfriend of her workmate will bring, she must play along and appreciate.
If the guy decides this year you are not going to Paraa even if Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday, go with the flow. Be a spot and play the part. And what does the man want in return? No headaches and whatnot at the end of the day.

I am with Jamie on this one. Cut out the drama. Take it easy, lets actually use the day to love, instead of worrying about bookings and budgets and whether she will have enough gossip for her workmates come Monday.

A simple home-cooked meal, or even take away, movies, old fashioned conversation, and St Valentine himself would drink a toast to us.
