A lot of things happened at the eight edition of Blankets and Wine, and fashion was one of them.
The music, oh my, the music! South African band group, Freshly Ground did a splendid job, although frankly speaking, theres is not music most Kampalans identify with. But everyone tried to have fun all the same.
Besides, there were the local curtain raisers and the DJ to complement the band so everything seemed to come together nicely. Then there was the wine, and the men, who this time made an effort to look good. but, there were the ladies who were dressed to kill.
The preferred trend of the day was shorts, and how appropriate seeing as the heat was blistering. Otherwise, the trend for the day ranged from long dresses, to a few strands on the body. More than anything else the Blankets and Wine event was, it was a fashion fete.
