Dear Gloriah,
I want to start tweezing my eyebrows. Please advise me on this technique because I can do it myself. Briana.

Briana,
I am impressed that you already have the art of shaping your brows with whatever you have been using.

Plucking brows can be a little tedious process but since the fuller brows are in style, tweezing should take less time. First things first, opt for a sharp slanted tweezer. It grabs all hair including stray hairs better and will not pinch on your skin. If your brows are not too dark, line them with brown pencil to know your arch limits and shape. Apply some warm water on to the eyebrows for it opens follicle and softens hair. After a proper tweeze, go back and do it again without looking in a magnifying mirror; it makes it seem like there is more hair than there really is. Comb the brows in upward movement as you do any correction. Immediately after tweezing, apply a toner, or cortisone cream to prevent swelling and soothe the numbness. Refrain from tweezing for at least three weeks in case you have over plucked them. Grow them in if you have got just the shape you have always wanted. Good luck!
