BEAUTY CLINIC: Careful with those fragrances after you have your baby
Posted Saturday, May 11 2013 at 01:00
Often times after having baby, mothers forget to change their beauty routine or even fore go some of them that can be harmful to baby. This categorically goes for perfume/fragrance. Highly fragranced body creams/lotions and fragrances are not good for baby to inhale.
Owing to the fact that these products’ most active ingredients are alcohol and highly fragrant oils(especially perfumes), inhalation of such strong scents for a fragile respiratory system like a baby’s can lead to choking, dizziness, coughing or flu. In an event where a baby has asthmatic issues,it can trigger an attack. Naturally, anybody who carries a baby rests them around the same pulse points where perfume is best applied.
For instance the neckline, elbow, shoulder/collar bone, even areas as wrong as under-arms.Mothers,your baby is your responsibility,be mindful of their health and anything that can endanger it.
Use lightly fragrance d creams and lotions for at least the first 8months to one year. Refrain from using strong scented perfumes, replace them with lightly fragrance d body splashes.
If it is good for your baby, you can live with it!
