Welcome to our wedding issue! Well, what can we say? It seems the wedding spirit whose presence seems more prominent around this time of year did not spare us either. We may not have been celebrating a wedding at Full Woman camp, but we found a special way of joining in on the celebrations by compiling a special on nothing but weddings! And why not?
Weddings are special. Simple! It does not matter how small or big, expensive or cheap, a wedding will forever stand out in your life’s events as a special day. But while it may stand unforgettable for all the bubbles your beau stimulated within as he firmly declared to the world that only you would be his to hold till kingdom come, it will probably stand out more for the things that went wrong. Just think, how many people will be talking about the wedding where everything progressed smoothly, when there is one where the bride stumbled over her gown and fell face first at the reception?
Yet, realistically speaking, the list of the things that could go wrong at a wedding are endless. The best way to shorten the list of these possibilities at your own wedding is to be knowledgeable of what could go wrong. Couples share their own experiences about what went wrong at their own weddings and what they would do differently, given a second shot at their special day. Unfortunately, it is not everyday, if ever, that you get a second chance at your wedding. Which brings us to a factor probably most important for a girl at a wedding; the gown!
I have been a bride before and I can assure you that it does not matter how well everything else goes, a bride will be very uncomfortable and will forever regret their day if they are not comfortable in their gown. That dress most girls fantasise about long before they can comprehend the significance of a wedding. We bring you samples of gowns that are currently on the market, guiding you on where you could start looking and how much to set aside for the purpose. What if you cannot find your ideal gown in a bridal shop? Not to worry, we catered to that too, through sharing a bride’s similar experience.
You will also find that after the wedding, when the excitement has died down into the chores that are marriage, that princess gown may become a burden as you wonder what to do with it. We have suggestions on how to deal with that on Page 7. Basically, you will find this issue quite useful for and after the wedding. Please do read on, and it is okay if you want to pull the magazine out and hang on to it! Enjoy!
