First Word: Beware of the suave lads, Ladies

Attention Ladies! There is a guy in my circles. He is quite attractive I will give him that; he stands out of the crowd (I noticed him instantly the first time we were in the same room together-not that I’m that difficult to impress-and I have also over time noted that every new lady asks about him, meaning, they notice him too). He comes off effortlessly smart whether casually or formally put, and he has a laugh, gosh that laugh! I shall not attempt to explain it, just know that whenever he laughs I see the last tooth on either side of his cheek and the sound that bellows from his throat is thunderous in a wonderous way. What can I say, dude does make an impression.
It is more endearing that he never puts off his marital ring like most men we know and he is approachable and out going (one small thing about that though; I always felt like at that point where he was too outgoing at the point of being flirtous he became normal, just another common man).
Anyway, all I had known about him beyond work was that he is married with three children. When he recently had another baby, it came to my knowledge somehow that he batters his wife! Yes of course I did verify the source first and it was someone that has nothing against him.
I must say that much as I was ticked off, I was not really surprised. I realised that when you pay attention, he is condenscending to women and a tad disrespectful. I have heard him telling women in public how he would like to “get” with them, and “Of course I’m married. So what? I did not say I want to marry you, just to sleep with you.” And I have no idea why we laughed at statements like these honestly because this here is a clear indication of how this Mr Suave percieves women; as tools of service. And his wife too.
I was very disappointed in myself for being taken up with this man, laughing at his jokes and hanging about him, the man that goes back and batters his wife! Now everyday, I watch him make his rounds among the ladies, charming his way into their hearts, without any of them realising that he needs a heart to heart discussion about how beating up your woman at home only makes you a jerk and means you need help to sort out whatever issues the violence stems from. For an educated enlightened man to resort to domestic violence, there must be a serious underlying issue rather than not knowing any better. And now, I’m more weary of these suave sorts; they are hiding dark black vices behind those wonderous laughs and charming personalities. Sure not all, but some are! Be watchful Ladies.
