Glad I did this

The experience

Mrs Kagoro says;
“I was skeptical about the makeover in the beginning, because I do not like the idea of appearing in the newspapers but I changed my mind because I did not want to disappoint my daughter. I wanted to appreciate her efforts for nominating me.

My favourite outfit was the dotted black and white knee-length dress with a pink lining around the waist. I looked good in it. It is something I would wear to church or any other evening function.

My usual style is knee-length dresses. I never wear anything that goes above the knees because my profession as a teacher requires teachers to be decent at all times. I love jewellery but I hardly wear makeup beyond lip gloss or lip balm.

I was happy to see myself in a whole different way because I hardly get to dress up or wear makeup. The styling tip I picked is that it is important to pay attention to detail while applying makeup to achieve a desired look.
I want to commend the team for being very patient with me because we have had to reschedule the makeover appointment several times.

One day it was because of the rain, then on another occasion it was the thieves who had broken into my house. Therefore, I needed time to compose myself. I appreciate that you did not give up on me even when I wanted to opt out, especially after the burglary. Instead, you let me compose myself until I was ready. Thank you very much. I am glad we eventually did this.”

Justine Katusiime, the daughter who sent in the nomination says;
“I got to know about the makeovers from Full Woman a few months back. The advertisement in the newspaper requested readers to send an email with details nominating a woman of their choice for a makeover. The person who came to mind was mummy who is the best mother in the world.

She is very hardworking, loving, compassionate and God-fearing. Mummy looked so beautiful after her makeover. Both the clothes and makeup suited her very well. The long evening gown was my favourite outfit on her. She looked elegant and radiant.
Other than that, the experience was an eye opener to both of us on what to wear and the ideal makeup to apply on our faces.”

The nomination
Hello Editor,
First, I would like to thank you for the great work you are doing and for the good heart of giving back to community. May the good Lord bless you. I would like to nominate my mother, Mrs Mary Ann Kagoro. She is 40, married to Mr. Thomas Kagoro, a mother to many but has four biological children. Teddy is my eldest Sister, Lillian, my follower and Laura, the youngest. Mummy is a secondary school teacher at Luzira S. S. S. She teaches English and Literature and part times in another school. Aside from teaching, she has a small farm in the village and does small businesses at home. My mum is a phenomenal woman; she loves us so much and has made major sacrifices for us. She does everything in her power to make sure we are happy and provided for. She is very hard working, gentle, Godfearing, trustworthy, etc. I would really love to give her a gift that is befitting but unfortunately I cannot afford it. I would really appreciate a chance with you to give her a makeover, which she would surely appreciate.
Would you please consider her for this makeover? I will be eternally grateful. Looking forward to a positive reply.
Thank You.
Regards,
Justine Katusiime
