Whether classic or edgy, this full-coverage footwear can be comfortable and chic

For cold weather. Whether classic or edgy, this full-coverage footwear can be comfortable and chic. Here is what you need to know about wearing boots in any season.

On chillier days such as the ones we are faced with, boots make dresses and skirts wearable.
They also give polish to jeans and add a down-to-earth feel to more delicate clothes, while increasing versatility of your clothes at the same time.
Boots are a warmth accessory though so put them at the back of your closet when the temperatures rise as they look out of place in hot weather.
The right boot for the occasion
• High-heeled boots will give you a more ladylike look.
• Wear full boots, either over jeans or with a fuller skirt but allow a few inches between your hem and the boot. Heavy heeled-boots such as wedges work well with long skirts and dresses, and less so for short clothes.
• For a more conservative and pulled together look, wear stiletto thigh boots with a mini or tights.
• For dress pants, ankle boots work best as they slip easily under the pants and are not restrictive around the legs. The flat less fitted boots are more casual but still give you a more refined look.

DOES IT FIT?

Pick a pair that’s fitted around your leg but not so tight that your skin bulges out from the top. There shouldn’t be more than a half inch of space between your leg and your boot. Few things look as shabby as ill-fitting shoes, boots inclusive.
