What went wrong at your wedding

Jennipher Ssekandi: The music system got burnt
The music, which we had heard booming as we entered the reception venue, stopped just as we entered. It was not power that had gone off as I thought but the music system had got burnt and was emitting smoke. Fortunately, the hotel DJ offered to provide us with music but that meant that he played his and not our choice of music. It ruined my mood and I had to wear a plastic smile throughout. Our wedding was on May 30, 2009, at Ggaba Catholic Church.

Dr Benon Kigozi: Nothing went wrong
Our wedding was simple but organised and nothing wrong went on the day, thanks to our wedding chairman, Dunstan Kisuule. We were on time for everything, which all went well. My only worry had been that my bride, Julia, may not be brought to church on time and also whether the best-man and I would not be delayed by the traffic, hence keeping the bride waiting. None of all those fears came to pass. We wedded on Febuary 25, 1996, at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero.

Florence Galiwango Nakityaaba: The bikers did not turn up, the food was not enough
I paid bikers highly who did not turn up hence disorganising me. I had wanted my wedding to be unique from my friends who had wedded before but these guys messed it up and did not refund my money. Also, some of the guests did not get food because the number had exceeded the planned 400 by 300 guests. This meant that the seats were also not enough either. This was on February 28, 2010 at Rubaga Cathedral.

Andrew Mubiru: The MC did not show up, food was not enough
My Master of Ceremony (MC) disorganised the function when he failed to show up on time. The chairman had to hijack a friend to stand in, who seemed to only say the wrong things, angering me and most of the guests who accused me of hiring such a person. The incident still infuriates me. Then, I was later told that some people had not got food but thankfully, there had been lots of drinks. We were wedded on December 2, 2011, at St Charles Lwanga, Ggaba Parish.

John Baptist Kasule: It rained at the reception which had been set at the beach
I had wanted every person who attended my wedding to eat and drink. But there was a heavy downpour at the reception at Ggaba Resort Beach, which saw most guests coming late and therefore missing out on food. In fact, most only made it there as we were on our way off to the honeymoon.
Immaculate Nabukera Ssekamatte: Everything that could go wrong went wrong
So many things went wrong. A few days to my wedding, my husband was attacked by armed robbers who took away all the items he had bought that day for the wedding, making us incur double costs. On D-day after the church service, we found heavy traffic jam, forcing us to change the venue for taking photographs, to a place I did not really like. Then, there were the people that did not honour their pledges, disorganising us totally. I also heard that people were gossiping about how my husband was more focused on other things at the wedding than on me, his bride. I never understood what such rumours were about or intended to achieve. Our wedding was on December 10, 2010, at St Joseph’s Catholic Chruch, Ndeeba.
