Low budget decor options

There is often a certain kind of spark that decorations are known to bring to any kind of room. It is for this reason that one will find most homes having these adornments. They come in different forms and artistic shapes for instance creative art pieces, artistic centre tables, designer lightings, flowers, colored wall paper and in so many other forms.
But then there are moments when one probably wants to decorate a particular part of the room but the money is just not there. In case the money is available, it might just not be enough for buying the particular decorations that the individual needs. So what sort of options would one settle for when the need arises?

Wall paint
Marino Pagril, an interior designer with Design Klinic in Ntinda states that in such cases where one wants to decorate the house but has little money, the best and cheapest option to settle for is wall paint.
“It brings such a big difference to a room and all that the painter needs to do is play around with the various colours during the time of painting,” Pagril states.

Curtains
Besides paint, the Design Klinic Designer states the other option one can settle for are curtains since they come in different sizes and designs such as floral (with flowers) and animated (curtains bearing cartoons).
“The beauty about these curtains is that one can acquire nicely decorated ones at very cheap prices,” he explains.

Photo frames
The third alternative that Pagril gives is photo frames. He says that these are also good because they enliven the room. If one is to settle for this particular way of decorating their room, he suggests that the individual uses all sorts of frame sizes and that they should be placed in the different areas of the room.

Artificial flowers
To supplement on the above three options, Louise Mbekeka, another interior designer and Florist of Image e’le’gante Ltd adds that flowers can be another option if one has a limited budget.
However, since the natural flowers are more expensive than the artificial ones, she advises that an individual settles for the cheaper option.
“I would strongly encourage individuals with a low budget to go for the artificial flowers since they are of a low price as well as more durable than the natural ones,” she explains.

Painted flower pots
When it comes to decorating the exterior part of the house, Mbebeka recommends planting of various flower species in pots and then placing them in the compound. Alternatively, one can plant them directly on to the ground.
“This is less costly because any one can do it,” she says.

Getting stony creative
Also, one can get small quarry stones and place them in designated areas of the compound. In case one has grass in their compound, Mbekeka states that during the time of cutting, the mower can go ahead to create symbols and words on the grass.
“These words and symbols will always intrigue visitors whenever they are in the compound,” she concludes.
