What you need to know:

If you have a small plot of land but you are wondering on the type of house to build on it, you can construct a two-bedroomed house

This is a sizable two bedroom house that is suitable for tight spaces. It has a simple design which makes it easier and relatively cheaper to construct, while providing basic housing needs especially for small families.

It consists of the following
An open plan sitting and dining room, a spacious kitchen with a door that leads out. It has a master bedroom, self-contained with a sizable washroom (shower, toilet and wash basin). The second bedroom can accommodate two twin beds. It also has a small porch on the front.

Rough material estimates;
You will need approximately 12,000 bricks for the walls of such a house. The roofing will require about 36 sheets, two external metallic doors, three timber panelled doors and two flush doors, four main windows and about three smaller ones plus approximately 80 square metres of floor tiles.

First home
Some people want to build a simple house like this one to stay there temporally as they save/ wait to build a bigger house.

Boys quarter
It may be built as a boys quarter to house the servants, or other people.

Guest wing
For those who host visitors often, such a house will come in handy.

Rental
This two-bedroomed house may also be built for commercial purposes as rentals and if you have extra space and deem it necessary to build something for income generation, then it would be a nice idea.
The highlights shown above are just random ideas and also the plan is for illustration purposes. Much as it’s meant for small spaces, be sure not to over build your plot as there are limits on how much space on a plot, a house can cover. Be sure to discuss in-depth with your architect about what you intend to archive and also for professional guidance.
