There have always been all kinds of expos but none of them concentrated on homes alone. However, this year, Monitor Publications Ltd and other partners bring you the first ever Homes and Construction Expo (H&C Expo). It is set to take place from April 24 to April 27 at Kampala Serena Hotel, Victoria Hall.

Focus
According to the CEO Vine Africa, Edwin Musiime, who launched the expo, it is aimed at creating a successful, sustainable, residential and commercial real estate.

Attendance
With the theme, Moving Our Real Estate & Construction Capability Forward, the expo will be opened by president Yoweri Museveni. He will be in the company of other participants from the Ministry of Housing & Urban Planning, National Environment Management Authority (Nema), Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and The CEO magazine, Knight Frank, Vine magazine, amongst other.

Monitor partnership
Aaron Aguma, the marketing manager Monitor Publications Limited, adds that the partnership in the expo is aimed at giving back to the community. “Our participation has always been about developing our society and this is the reason we are coming on board to partner with the Home and Construction Expo”

Mr Musiime says tickets for the expo will be sold at the entrance at Shs10,000 and all proceeds will go towards a Shs5m makeover for a home and office of winning visitors. Winners will be selected through a raffle draw at the event.

Experts present
Delegates from Dubai, Turkey, South Africa and Kenya will also provide a unique platform for the local and global communities to come together and explore creative and pioneering solutions to the three sub-themes which have been identified as key drivers of real estate and construction development.
