A unique plan for a three-bedroom house

What you need to know:
Right now, the three-bedroom house is trending. However, you do not have to go with a common plan; you can choose to have a different design.
The plan presented here is of a three bedroom house with “a maid’s room” that is suitable for plots not less than 100ft x 50ft. The design of this house has the following features.
Entrance
The main entrance is placed in a way that allows one to access the bedrooms, kitchen and dining without having to go through the sitting room. Such a plan minimises sitting room interruptions.
Bedrooms
The master bedroom is designed with shelves along the passage, to provide storage space for items such as shoes, umbrellas and art pieces among others.
There is also a walk-in-closet that leads to the bedroom area and has immediate access to the master bathroom, where bathing and dressing/ changing can be done before moving to the bedroom area, this kind of arrangement frees the bedroom from such activities and leaves it only for resting/relaxing.
Kitchen
The kitchen is designed with a worktop and shelves under the worktop and wall cabinets. There is a pantry that provides more storage space, un attached laundry (where you can put a washing machine, sink and ironing platform) where all the cloths and household linen are washed and ironed.
The kitchen back door that leads to the kitchen yard for back-of-house activities such as hanging clothes, collecting rubbish and sometimes slaughtering and roasting, food drying and many other activities,
Dinning
The dining room is open to the sitting room on one side and a backyard porch on the other, the back yard porch will mainly be beneficial in case the plot is designed to have a back-yard private (hide away) garden.
Other bedrooms
It also has two bedrooms sharing a washroom
Maid’s room
It has a small but adequate self-contained maid’s room; which is attached to the house but totally independent. This room gives the house help the liberty to exercise their freedom and enjoy their privacy in there off time.
On a tight budget, this kind of house will cost you from around Shs80m depending on the materials used, and other various factors such as how you manage construction, choice of the builder and many others.
