How can I cope with working under pressure?

How can I cope with working under pressure? My boss gives me assignments on short notice and wants them there and then.

Dear Male
Working under pressure is usually a result of having failed to plan to execute your assignments and time appropriately or, as in the case of your boss, the lack of planning on his part has resulted into creating constant emergencies on your part. This implies that you are always firefighting, which is frustrating and always has a negative impact on productivity.
As a starting point, you should never allow this pattern to become the norm at your workplace as it will in turn negatively impact your health.
Always bear in mind that bosses always value organised people to who will deliver their assignments on time, hence, the buck should now stop with you.
Since yours is a recurrent problem, you should set up a planning meeting with your boss to go through all the assignments to deliver in a given period of time, say in the next four months and then using the measures below, prioritise your assignments as:

1.Urgent & Important tasks: Do them immediately
2.Important but Not Urgent tasks: Decide when you will do them
3.Not Important & Not Urgent tasks: Do them later
4.Urgent & Not Important tasks: Delegate them to someone else
If you try the above method consistently and agree to stick to it, you will realise that actually you have increasing your productivity tremendously within just one quarter of the year.
