Cissy Kagaba, Executive Director, Anti-Corruption Coalition Uganda

Cissy Kagaba is so passionate and strong-willed about fighting corruption.
1. What kind of books do you read?
Prayer books, Sci-fi, autobiographies, Self-help and drama. I have read autobiographies of Martin Luther king, Nelson Mandela, Malcolm X, and Obama and I am now reading one about Mahatma Gandhi.
Some of the lessons I have picked from reading books are about resilience, focus, determination and commitment. My best read has been Dan Brown’s novel Inferno because it challenges you to think out of the box.

2. What do you do to keep fit?
I walk once in a while, skip and do sit- ups more often.
3. Do people hit on you? How do you deal with it?
Hahaaa....I threaten them with court action!
4. What do you think about when in traffic jam?
I imagine having a flying car and the moment the jam starts. I just engage and fly above taxi drivers that are indisciplined, I think about having this huge car guard that I can use to slowly but surely push them on the side.

5. Who is your role model?
My daddy, I am a daddy’s girl and my mum “falsely” accuses me of favouring him over her. (Of course, that is a lie because I love her too.)
6. When did you begin dating?
Seriously? Errr... I need to look for my nursery school diary!!!
7. Who is an ideal husband?

I have not yet done ample research in that area to give an authoritative answer. Ok, what are the qualities of a good husband? That is relative. He should be God-fearing, humble, and quiet.
8. Have you ever had a bad hair day? How do you fix it?
These days messy hair styles are the in thing. However, I wear a wig though it is not my cup of tea. Alternatively, I call up my hairstylist and fix an early appointment to sort me out.

9. What is your principle in life?
To stand firm and defend that which I believe in regardless of what others may think.
10. Do you cook? If so, what kind of meals and when?
I cook and when I do so, I prepare any dish preferably traditional dishes.
