Four details to spruce up your look

What you need to know:

TWEAK IT. Everyone of us has days when you can’t decide on what to wear. Gloria Haguma brings you tips on how to add oomph to your look

To add a little tweak to your daily look, read about what it takes.

1.Pocket square
A pocket square can be worn with denims, a suit, a tee and blazer and even in shorts look. The trick is to be very experimental when it comes to choosing them. Since you are making them the foundation of your look, let them stand out. You can choose it with some prints, or a very eye-catching colour, or even a distinguished shape.

2.The cuff
A pair of chinos may be great, but if worn it ordinarily you blend with the crowd. If you decide to cuff the hems you can stand out of the crowd more. This will look good on strictly casual wear. Please don’t try cuffing your dress pants.

3.Blazer lining
This is probably paid the least attention. The lining inside your blazer is a very good detail to add to look. It works more, when it stands out, especially if it has print, or a coloured lining that’s different from the other colours on your look.

4.Button down collar shirt
The button down collar is trendy, and also bound to get your look standing out. Most times, this is worn without a tie, but you can add some collar pins, a bolo tie, or even just add a little chain to this.
