Get the best out of one colour

What you need to know:

STYLE UP. You can use minimal effort to make your look appealing. Gloria Haguma shows you how

Majority of us cannot afford to have a walk-in closet, or even a wardrobe that gives us the luxury of wearing some of our outfits once in a year. Many times, we have to recycle the pieces, so as to come off with different looks.

However, that may seem like a mission impossible, particularly if those pieces stand out, making it hard for you to repeatedly wear them.

The solution however is in working with your accessories. You can have on the same top and bottom (preferably in a plain dark shade), and then switch your accessories, so as to be able to come off with a different look all the time.

For the demo, an all-black look, balman jeans and a T-shirt, to show you how you can move this look from casual, to formal and then to smart casual.

Look three: smart casual
For the third look, we add this amazing pair of futuristic boots, from the Abryanz Men’s Store. We add a Gucci front print cardigan to this. With this look, you can still take the sweater off when the weather gets hot, and still make a statement with those boots.

Look two: Formal
To give the jeans and a T-shirt a more formal touch, we paired it with a thin chequered blazer and a pair of blue moccasins. The blazer turns the look formal, and the moccasins are supposed to give the look, a relaxed, but still stylish finish. This look can work for you on a Monday, Tuesday, into Wednesday. You could even wear this to an evening out, like a cocktail.

Look one: casual
This look can work starting from Thursday, into the weekend, if you are wearing it to the office. To the black jeans and T-shirt, we added a collarless jacket, and a pair of red sneakers, for a pop of colour finish.
You can replace these with any other accessories you choose, but keep them casual.
