Little things that will put her off

LASTING IMPRESSION. As you try to make that first impression a lasting one, have you thought about what would put her off on a date? At the recent relationship debate organised by the Esthers Ministry, Makerere Full Gospel Church, single young men and women discussed just that. One of the key discussants, Loy Kwagala, a life coach talked about the little things about men that put women off. Brian Mutebi shares.
“Ladies care so much about how a man presents himself, and I’m not talking about which type of car key or smart phone he holds but those little yet big things about gents that will either miscarry or permit their opportunities with ladies,” says Loy Kwagala, a life coach.
Odour
Bad odour will always, unfortunately present itself when a man opens his mouth to say, “Hello”, when he raises his hands to give or receive a hug or down from his feet. Men, your breath, underarms and feet deserve super attention especially for you whose sweat glands are active and those that fast many days or for long hours.
Mouth washes might be expensive but how about chewing gum? Men please note that women are endowed with a very good sense of smell which means that these three areas will let her be for or against you.
Hair
Hair on your head aside, this concerns the hair that grows in the nose. Much as it is useful in arresting all the dust that you are likely to inhale, it will as well help to arrest and hold all the boogers (dried nasal mucus) which will embarrass you when they fall out once you breathe heavily.
The ears also tend to breed some hair which keeps the wax up close if irregularly cleaned up, plucked or tweezed. Then the beards – since your lips need to be visible, please try to keep your beard as short as possible, well-trimmed and not sharp.
Nails
Men with clean finger and toe nails will get a woman’s attention. Before she gives you a handshake, the eyes might bias or support the action, meaning that she can withhold and just wave at you or compensate you with a smile or nothing at all.
The worst, is when she has no choice but to shake your hand and immediately clean up with hand sanitizer- it is not a plus to you. Washing hands is very important especially after visiting the gents. You might keep your nails at a certain length but are they clean and healthy?
Wardrobe
A man who wears fitting clothes pleases the eye. So, why would a man buy and wear oversize trousers, shirts and suits? And “fitting” does not only apply to fabric but accessories like shoes and belts. Take time to know the sizes of your body such as waist, chest, height and feet to guide your shopping. You will however have to understand that sizes differ depending on the designer’s country that is Europe, Asia, or USA.
Jewellery
Just like women, some men compliment their looks with watches, chains and rings. If the watch is silver, why not have the ring in the same colour? Wearing a gold ring, silver watch then a chain of bronze might not leave the impression you intended to. Maintain uniformity, simplicity with class.
