You might think of gift-giving on Christmas as something the westerners do and think to yourself that it might not be an act that we are familiar with. By nature, all humans want to feel like somebody cares for them and if you are dealing with the male species, then let’s face it you are dealing with a macho-looking guy but deep inside they will forever want to feel loved and pampered.

If this is something you have not done before, this Christmas spice up your love life, make your father smile or get that male colleague at work to think of you as the coolest babe in the office by surprising them with a gift.

Here are some of the few things that will make a perfect gift for that special man in your life.

Gadgets
Who does not like gadgets? We have to admit though, the boys surely love them a little more than the girls. If you are not short on cash, this could be the perfect gift for that important man in your life. Depending on what you choose to buy, a quality gadget will set you back from Shs500,000 upwards.

Perfumes and lotions
Every man loves to smell good and be identified by his scent and what is better than a man that smells nice? A Cologne is definitely a unique gift and do not go for the cheapest stuff. Depending on his taste and what you can afford to buy, you can get a designer perfume from the boutiques around town at a cost of between Shs100,000 and Shs300,000. A shirt, a nice sweater a pair of cool jeans makes a perfect gift. You can never go wrong with clothes. Just make sure it is a fitting size. You do not want to buy an ill-fitting shirt just to have it kept away in a drawer or at the back of a closet.

If you cannot choose a single item, then the gift set is your way out. The set contains various items including a watch notebook, pen, keyholder and a belt. You can find these at beauty corner stores or you can select your items for the hamper.

Take a trip
If you can afford it, take a break from the usual stay-home routine and plan a romantic getaway for you and your beau to an exotic holiday location.

Brandy, spirits and whiskey
These are strictly for those who enjoy a drink occasionally. Don’t go for the usual Uganda Waragi or Gilbeys. Go all out with a bottle of Jack Daniels, a bottle of Jameson or the coloured Johnny Walker labels (Blue, Black, Red or Green). These will cost you between Shs70,000 and Shs200,000.
