Aisha Alibhai, corporate social affairs manager

Aisha Alibhai is a radio presenter on D’Mighty Breakfast show on KFM and doubles as the corporate social affairs manager at Monitor Publications Limited. She shares her 10 tricks.
1. Describe yourself.
I’m extremely hardworking, very ambitious and down to earth. I relate with everybody no matter their class in society. One thing people don’t know is that I’m very prayerful.
2.What attracts people to you?

My personality. I’m warm, cheeky and fun to be around. I can turn a boring party into something else.
3. What do you hate?

Liars, I get upset when someone lies to me. When I relate with someone I give them my all so I feel betrayed when someone lies to me.
4. Any health regime you are on?
I had a baby a year and two months ago. I have been doing several things to lose baby weight. At the moment, I take six cups of green tea a day and it is doing wonders.
5. Must-haves in your purse.

Chewing gum because I hate people with a bad breathe so I don’t want to be the one to cause discomfort to someone over it, perfume because I love to smell good and sunglasses because they give me more confidence.
6.What is the hardest decision you have had to make?
When I had to breakup with someone I treasured because they were lying to me. Even at the time of the breakup, this person was still lying to me. I think this has been the most painful time I have gone through.
7.What is the one thing that has kept you going?

My family. They are my rock because they are always there for me and I can run to them anytime I need them.

8. Have you ever had a bad hair day?

Several times. This is because of my tight schedule, I hardly have time to go to the salon during weekdays. I have a number of wigs that I keep switching. I also bought a hand drier and shampoos in case I ever need them.
9. What makes you happy?
Being with my family and travelling especially out of town.
10. How do you make time for your family?

It is a bit crazy lately because I have two jobs. The first one requires me to leave home by 5am while the second one states that I leave at 5pm. This means that I have little family time apart from weekends. However, I make sure that when I go back home I play with my son no matter how tired I am. I bathe him, play again and then strap him on my back to sleep. I ensure he sleeps on my back.
