What you need to know:

When love is in the air, the signs are quite clear. Men really know the language women want to listen to.

When love is in the air, the signs are quite clear. Men really know the language women want to listen to. That language is through money-fuelled actions. And former Express star Meddie Katongole Ntale showed he is conversant with that dialect. Earlier this week on Monday, Ntale showed his fiancée Sheebah Kanyana that their friendship should move to the next level as she celebrated her 22nd birthday at Lake Victoria Serena Hotel, located off Entebbe Road.

The King’s College Budo alumnus, who is a brother to top city businessman Hassan Basajjabalaba, splashed in the excess of Shs60m on a lavish night of making merry. The guest list for the former footie ace included renown businessmen and socialites from United Kingdom, US, Dubai and corporates. Kanyana’s friends and fellow Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication (BA Mass Com) students from Muteesa I Royal University in Kampala were also in attendance. There was bottomless liquor and the Nyama Choma was aplenty.

Ntale, who played as a midfielder for the Wankulukuku-based side in 2007/8 alongside utility player Henry Kakooza, pampered Kanyana to bits and later announced that in a month’s time he would ship in a brand new Toyota Harrier 2006 model (estimated at Shs60m) for his new catch as the main birthday gift. That revelation drew ululations from the guests and left Kanyana smitten. We at SCORE vividly know how this story will end. We envisage wedding bells as soon as Kanyana wraps up her BA Mass Com degree next year. All the best, Red Eagle!
