Golola to revive academy plans

KAMPALA.

By his admission, motor-mouth kickboxer Moses Golola is aware age is no longer on his side.
But as he ponders life after retirement from the sport that has propelled him to national fame, Golola, who has not had a competitive fight in more than a year, has two wishes. To overcome the embarrassment he suffered in a home loss to Hungarian Mate Zsamboki as well as complete a gym/academy where youth can improve their skills.
To fulfill that, Golola is scheduled to fight another Hungarian Janos Lakatos on December 8 at Tavern Woods in Kabusu, a Kampala suburb in a Super Middleweight World title fight.
“I lost this title when I lost to Zamboki. I don’t even want to remember the year when I got the dislocation,” started Golola with his trademark bravado at the launch of the event.
“I want to show these dogs that I have been barking and that the king of the jungle is around. This is going to be revenge against these Hungarians.”
“I want to build a gym and a place that can help generations. I don’t want them to be like me who has faced the challenge of lacking some skills,” Golola further stressed, before unleashing his comical side.
“I want to mingle this guy like yellow posho. We need this fight. We need this academy; if it is there kickboxing will go on for generations.”
