KICC, Tornado B cautious against minnows today

KAMPALA. Kampala Institute of Cricket Clubs (KICC) are firm favourites to pick maximum points when they take on Ndejje-Premier in the National Women’s 40-Over League today.
“Of course, we are the better side in terms of quality,” said KICC’s leading batter Flavia Laker (71 runs from three innings).

Irrespective of that, the Sudhir Ruparelia-sponsored side will take a cautious approach against the student-packed side. Why?
“Ndejje is a much more improved side than last year,” Laker noted after she watched coach Rizzah Nalubulwa’s girls put up a spirited fight in their 91-run defeat to Tornado B, a fortnight ago.
“They are much better with their bowling and we should not play complacently.”

And should KICC (13) take their third win in four outings, they will move top of the summit with 19 points but only if visitors Tornado B (17) lose to bottom-side JACC at Jinja SS Oval.
Yet to concede defeat in seven matches since winning the UCA Sixes Challenge title on May 9, Tornado B will be going for nothing short of victory.
