KAMPALA.

Sadolin Paints will today attempt to reach a maiden Ugandan Cup final by overcoming what appears a huge task against Big League side Paidha Black Angels.

The Painters are seeking to overcome a 2-0 first leg result in a season in which they have largely disappointed and ended by being relegated to the second tier of Ugandan football.

Despite the assurance of sponsors Sadolin Paints, the club have been a shambles administratively with players often training separately, some in Jinja, where the club previously hosted games and others in Kampala.

With relegation looming, they also suspended coaches Simon Kirumira and Musafir Samadu following a 2-0 home loss Saints.
That did not spare them from relegation with the club losing the subsequent fixtures 4-2 and 1-0 to Bul and Express respectively and confirmed their status.

In an interesting turn of events however, the club this week reinstated the coaching duo ahead of the semifinal.
They will rely on forward Norman Ojik, who scored eight times in the league, for victory while influential attackers Sijali Jamali and Nasser Muzamir are doubtful.

Their opponents on the other hand are favourites to follow in the footsteps of fellow West Nile club Onduparaka who reached last year’s final while still in the Big League.

Paidha who host their games at the Bar Okoro ground in Zombo reached this stage after ejecting holders Vipers 1-0 at their new St. Mary’s stadium.
