What you need to know:

Manchester City vs. Chelsea. When the two English Premier League title contenders face off tomorrow, there will be so many sub-plots and rivalries.

Who is better? Fabregas vs David Silva, Diego Costa vs Sergio Aguero and John Terry vs Vincent Kompany.

Jose Mourinho asked to be judged on his second season at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea have got off to a flyer with the Blues winning all four of their English Premier League encounters to date.

The London side aren’t just claiming three-point hauls this season but they are also winning matches emphatically, with a 6-3 triumph at Goodison Park a particular highlight, while last Saturday’s 4-2 victory against Swansea was also impressive.

Diego Costa is on fire and they won’t be going to the Etihad Stadium for just a point tomorrow, with Mourinho having changed the mentality to a more attacking approach which is yielding dividends.

The pressure is firmly on Manchester City considering they have already dropped five points this term. Having been lauded for their 3-1 victory against Liverpool, Manuel Pellegrini’s side then slumped to a surprise 1-0 reverse at home to Stoke City.

The champions then drew 2-2 at the Emirates last weekend and they simply cannot afford to allow Chelsea to go eight points clear of them at such an early juncture.

Chelsea claimed a 1-0 victory in this fixture last season after absorbing City pressure before springing some excellent counter-attacking football.

Cesc Fabregas has slotted seamlessly into the midfield area with Nemanja Matic, the latter of whom was outstanding in this game last term, while Diego Costa is racking up the goals and says he is hungry for more.
