Kampala.

Uganda’s Under-17 national soccer team, The Cubs, will host Rwanda on July 18 after ejecting Seychelles. The Ugandan youngsters proved they are good enough for a place in next year’s Africa U-17 Championships with a commanding performance against Syechelles.

With a 2-1 away victory in the bag, Charles Ssebutinde put the game beyond Seychelle’s reach with a fourth minute strike. Emmanuel Olinga’s long range strike and an own goal sealed the deal for Uganda inside 31 minutes as the visitors ran out of sorts.

Seychelles coach Gavin Jeane admitted Uganda were superior. But it’s the game that will prove how strong the Ugandan side is.
