KAMPALA.

When Vipers and Police faced off in the Azam Uganda Premier League earlier this season, the latter claimed a 2-1 win.
The result ended Vipers unbeaten start and culminated into a sequence of only two wins in nine games.
But as the two teams clash in arguably the tie of the Uganda Cup round-of-32 at Kitende this evening, Vipers will look to newfound confidence as they seek to further their pursuit of two trophies.
They are currently on a five game winning run including a 3-1 away win over Kasese-based Broken in the previous round. “We respect Police FC but we have plenty of belief. It will be tough on Saturday but hopefully we can get the job done,” assistant captain Taddeo Lwanga said ahead of the game. They play a Police side that is badly out of form having only a round-of-64 2-0 win over Greater Masaka to show in six games.
They have also not scored in their two second round league games despite coach Abdallah Mubiru’s assertion of having “enough in the team to fill the void” left by Hood Kaweesa’s departure.
