Wrap it up

What you need to know:

Soccer. Coaches Moses Basena and Fred Kajoba will give first leg two-goal hero Muzamir Mutyaba the license to have a go at ‘shaky’ Rwanda again.

KIGALI. Having qualified for the last three consecutive Chan tournaments, failure to reach next year’s final in Kenya would be a catastrophe for Uganda Cranes in the tournament featuring domestic league players.
The Cranes hold a 3-0 advantage going into today’s return leg against Rwanda’s Amavubi following last weekend’s result at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
With the home team expected to go all out in search of the four goals that would ensure what appears like an unlikely triumph, Cranes coach Moses Basena emphasized the need for his team to make their chances count.
“Every team has their moments. It is up to you to utilise your good moments and deny the opponents theirs. It could be four or five minutes but it is important to concentrate,” Basena told SCORE.
The coach is not expected to make many changes to the first leg team that would ensure a fourth straight qualification in what will only be his second game in charge of his interim tenure.
Timothy Awany, who missed the first leg while undergoing trials in South Africa, should slot into central defence alongside Paul Musamali in the absence of Savio Kabugo, who is also out of the country trying his luck.
Two-goal first leg hero Muzamir Mutyaba, Moses Waiswa and Shafiq Kagimu and Milton Karisa are expected to start behind Derrick Nsibambi as they look to stretch the opposition defence that looked shaky last weekend.
The latter will be seeking to make it three goals in as many games following strikes in the games against South Sudan and in the first leg.
The Rwandan backline will also be without central defender Aimable Rucogoza as well as striker Bernabe Mubumbyi, who were all booked in the first leg. Captain and first choice goalkeeper and captain Eric ‘Bakame’ Ndayishimiye is expected to return in place of Marcel Nzarora.
