45 students injured as fire guts St Peter's SS dormitory

At least 45 students were on Thursday evening injured after fire gutted a dormitory at St. Peter's Senior Secondary School in Nsambya, Kampala.
According to police, the injured students were rushed to Nsambya hospital for medical attention.
Police say they are still investigating the cause of the fire which started at around 7am and gutted the senior one dormitory.
When Daily Monitor visited Nsambya hospital, 42 students had already been discharged because they were out of danger.

According to Dr Stanley Kiwanuka, the in charge of emergency Unit, the three students still admitted have different complications.
The students are Ezra Tendo, a senior six candidate of Arts class, Raymond Ssekade who is in Senior five and Allan Nsubuga.
“Tendo is asthmatic while Ssekade has abdominal and chest complications. All the students who had been admitted suffered fume inhalation and soft injuries,” said Dr Kiwanuka,
