The President has also been asked to return to the country and sort out her government’s problems.
Malawian Civil Society organisations have given President Joyce Banda 30 days to publicly declare her assets, root out corruption, and provide evidence on the rotten maize in the silos.
The group made the call at a press conference in Lilongwe on yesterday in response to the problems the country is facing at the moment.
Meanwhile, Ms Banda had been asked to cut short her New York to sort out problems that have rocked her government. President Banda left the country on the September 16 to attend this year’s United Nations General Assembly and is yet to return into Malawi.
Critics say after her departure, a number of problems are emerging including theft of public money where two civil servants were arrested and the shooting of a government official.
