David Bahati elected NRM caucus Vice Chairman

Ndorwa West MP David Bahati is the new NRM caucus Vice Chairman

The ruling National Resistance Movement caucus sitting in the Parliament has elected Ndorwa West MP David Bahati as caucus Vice Chairman, to deputize the Government Chief Whip John Nasasira in matters of the party caucus.

Also elected is Robinah Nabbanja (Kibale) as treasurer, taking over from Mr Bahati while Patrick Nakabale (Youth Central) elected as general secretary taking on from Ms Sylvia Namabbidde.

The caucus is expected to also elect three commissioners and colleagues who will represent the party both the Pan African Parliament of Durban South Africa and the Common Wealth Parliament which sits in London.

Candidates for commissioners are; Chris Baryomunsi and Jalia Bintu for Western Uganda, Dombo Emmanuel and Rose Akol for Eastern region while Denis Obua is the only candidate from Northern region while central region has Kiwanda Godfrey as candidate for central region The opposition has one sit on commission and they have already elected Elijah Okupa to replace Florence Ibi
