Man arrested for attempting to rape his grandmother

A 20-year-old man has been arrested for attempting to rape his 86-year-old grandmother.

Godi Wada of Busera village in Kiboga District was arrested yesterday.

The Kiboga District Police Commander, Mr Patrick Emajong, said Wada broke into his grandmother’s house the previous night and stripped her naked. The old woman, shocked and scared, screamed for help, attracting the attention of her neighbours.

The crowd detained Wada and marched him to the village local council authorities, who later handed him over to the Police. He is being held at Kiboga Central Police Station awaiting prosecution.
