Investigations into Kazini death complete

The investigations into the death of former army commander Maj. Gen James Kazini are complete, court has heard.

Court also heard today that the matter is ready for referral to the High Court.

According to prosecution, the file for Lydia Draru, the key suspect in the killing of Gen. kazini is before the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Draru appeared today before Makindye court Grade One magistrate for mention of her case but it was it was adjourned for the sixth time to March 9..

This is the sixth time Draru is appearing before the Court over the trial.

Gen. James Kazini was last year allegedly killed Draru, his girlfriend in Namuwongo, a Kampala suburb, during a scuffle at her residence.

Draru who confessed to killing the general has since been remanded to Luzira Prison.
