LAMWO. A 40-year-old woman was on Saturday found dead with her neck broken in Lumura village, Padibe West Sub County in Lamwo District.

Police suspect the assailants waylaid Silvia Achol as she returned home from Langwel Trading Centre where she had gone to buy foodstuff to prepare for her seven children.

Achol’s body was found about 50 metres away from her home.
Police have so far arrested one person in connection with the murder.

The area LCIII chairperson, Mr Martine Otto Ateng, said they suspect that Achol was attacked and gang raped by the unknown group of men before they killed her.

“One of the victim’s children heard their mother crying out for help but they were helpless,” he said.
