Norwegian national arrested over narcotics at Entebbe Airport

Aviation Police have arrested a Norwegian national who was allegedly found in possession of narcotic drugs

The suspect identified as Arntzen Karin Elizabeth, 53, was arrested at the baggage screening point.

Police recovered three polythene bags that were tightly wrapped with a cello tape containing 376 grams of heroin.

The heroin has been taken to Government Analytical Laboratory in Wandegeya for analysis.

The suspect was intending to travel to Brussels aboard a Brussels Airlines Flight number SN 3169.

The suspect, accodring to police, will face charges of unlawful possession of narcotic drugs contrary to sections 4(1) and 2(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act 2016.
