Boda Boda rider killed, motorcycle taken
ENTEBBE: Residents of Kawuku, Katabi Town Council have been left in shock after discovering the body of Julius Lubega, a boda boda rider and resident of Buzzi village with two wounds on the head.
Residents who found the body of Lubega, 40, lying in a pool of blood with his brain splattered out believe he was killed by iron bar hitmen who took off with his motor cycle registration number UEL 770S.
Lubega’s work colleagues said they last saw him on Tuesday evening and were surprised to be told that he had been murdered.
Mr George Kandebe, the chairperson Kawuku boda boda operators said they have a challenge of criminals disguising themselves as clients with ill motives.
“Boda boda riders should hold regular meetings so as to identify those wrong people who disguise as Boda boda operators yet in reality they collaborate with the thugs to carry out robberies,” he said.
Police led by O.C Kisubi police station, Mr Joseph Karugaba took the body to Mulago hospital mortuary for postmortem.
