- He replaces the recently promoted Lt Gen Wilson Mbadi who has also been appointed deputy Chief of Defence Forces.
- UPDF is yet to announce the new Chief of Personnel and Administration.
President Museveni has promoted Brig Joseph Musanyufu to the rank of Major General and appointed him the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Joint Chief of Staff.
Musanyufu has been the UPDF Chief of Personnel and Administration.
He replaces the recently promoted Lt Gen Wilson Mbadi who has also been appointed deputy Chief of Defence Forces.
UPDF is yet to announce the new Chief of Personnel and Administration.
In March last year, then Brig Musanyufu testified against the former coordinator of intelligence agencies, Gen David Sejusa in a case in which he was accused of leaving his duty without official leave.
Musanyufu was the first witness to testify against Gen Sejusa before the General Court Martial then chaired by Maj Gen Levy Karuhanga (RIP).
