The body of singer Juliana Kanyomozi's son is expected in the country tomorrow evening from Nairobi, Kenya and will be laid to rest in Matugga on Bombo Road.
The 11-year-old Keron Kabugo's body who succumbed to asthma at the Aga Khan Hospital is slated to arrive at Entebbe International Airport Tuesday evening at 7pm aboard Kenya Airways, according to Eddie Ndawula, the singer's manager.
"On Wednesday, a funeral service will be held at All Saints Cathedral at 10am. He will be laid to rest in Matugga, on the same day, at 4pm," he said. Matugga is the ancestral burial ground for Kabugo's father Mr Amon Lukwago.
A night vigil is organized at the singer's residence in Lungujja in Kampala today evening.
Kabugo succumbed to asthma on Sunday morning. He was transferred to the hospital on recommendations from doctors at Nakasero Hospital where he had been admitted, first, after suffering an attack while at school in Agha Khan Primary school.
The 11-year old was the only child of the celebrated singer with businessman Lukwago, and though his parents were living apart, the love both parents had for their son was public knowledge.
Social media was awash with hearty condolence messages from fans, friends and music personalities to the songstress and Lukwago, since news filtered in on Sunday morning. Her colleagues in the music industry including Uganda artistes Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool, Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and fellow Tusker Project Fame judge Ian Mbugua used the forum to extend their sympathy for her loss.
