Chinese national killed in eggs fight
Hoima- A Chinese construction worker has died after a fight with a colleague over eggs in Hoima District.
Police identified the deceased as Zhang Zhong, an employee of WUSZ Company, one of the firms that are constructing Hoima International Airport in Kabale, Buseruka sub-county.
It is alleged that Zhong ate the eggs of his alleged killer sparking a quarrel which culminated in a fight between the two on Tuesday.
According to police, the deceased was allegedly hit with a glass ash tray on the forehead and cut with a knife on the right arm and the abdomen.
Zhong, who was profusely bleeding was rushed to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital.
"At about 3.30pm, he was pronounced dead by a doctor who was attending to him," Albertine Regional Police Spokesperson, Mr Julius Hakiza said.
He said the suspect is being held at Hoima Central Police station while the body is in the hospital mortuary.
