City head teacher commits suicide aboard a speeding bus

Police in Mpigi district are investigating circumstances under which the head teacher of a Kampala primary school died, after he allegedly jumped through the window of a speeding bus.
Mr Arnold Ntungwa, 54 and head teacher of Old Kampala Primary school allegedly jumped out through the window of the speeding Global Coaches bus, plying from Mbarara to Kampala.
According to police, Ntungwa boarded the bus in Mbarara and was heading to Kampala. The incident happened at Mpabire, Mpigi district on Monday at around 9:00pm.
According to the post-mortem report, Ntungwa died after sustaining a head injury and fracture of the skull bone.
Witnesses, among whom, were the bus passengers who recorded statements at Police said the deceased was behaving strangely during their journey.
The Mpigi district traffic boss, Mr Michael Ensinikweri said they are still investigating the circumstances under which Ntungwa died.
“We are still verifying the statements made by the other people who were aboard the bus,”said Mr Ensinikweri when asked about the incident.
