Commissioner warns against homosexuality in schools

Commissioner for Higher Education and Training in the Ministry of Education, Robert Odok Oceng, has warned teachers against supporting homosexual practices that have been reported in the region.

Commissioner Odok –Oceng, was on Friday presiding over the second graduation ceremony of East African Institute of Management Science at TAKS centre in Gulu town.

“if your mother and father were homosexuals how would you have been able to be realised, ?he asked,”

He, asked parents to be a watchdog both in schools and in homes, so that their children do not become victims of homosexuality.

Mr Odok awarded 117 certificates and 53 diplomas in various business and management courses of EAIMS, at the Gulu based institute.

According to the Principal, Mr Kyanira Apuuli the institute started in 2009 with only five students and was accredited by National Council for Higher Education in 2012.

Mid this month, six suspected homosexuals were arrested in Pader district including a school teacher and a business man.
