Court declares minister Okello as Oyam South MP

Court of Appeal has declared state minister for defence, Col Charles Okello the validly elected MP for Oyam South constituency.
The High court in Lira had quashed the Col Okello’s election in favour of Mr Charles Ayena Odong citing discrepancies in his (Col Okello’s) documents presented for nomination and election.
However, in their ruling, the Court of Appeal judges; Steven Kavuma, Cheborion Barishaki and Elizabeth Musoke faulted the High Court judge for failing to properly evaluate the evidence Col Okello produced in court.
