Kampala High Court's assistant registrar Joy Kabagye Bahinguza has issued an injunction temporarily blocking the media from publishing stories regarding investigations into the murder of former police spokesperson, AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi, his body guard, Kenneth Erau and driver Godfrey Wambewo.
This is after the Inspector General of Police, Kale Kayihura, through the Attorney General, filed a case against the Red Pepper, The Investigator, Chimp Reports and individual editors over the same.

Gen Kayihura accuses the defendants of publishing confidential information relating to the said investigation and the security of Uganda without authorisation from the police.
He contends that the publications are injurious to their investigations, national security and prejudicial to the workings of the security agencies of Uganda.
The injunction will be in force until August 21, 2017 when the main suit will be heard before Justice Stephen Musota.

Kaweesi, Erau and Wambewo were on March 17, 2017 killed by unknown gunmen as they left his home in Kulambira.
